Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said the Election Commission’s ECINet system was created to centralise deletions and additions originating from the BJP headquarters. He posted a screenshot of a media report that quoted a security researcher who had alerted the Election Commission and CERT‑In in July about vulnerabilities in the commission’s voter‑services website and the ECINet app.
