Google plans to open a data centre in Visakhapatnam that will rely on air‑cooling rather than traditional water‑based systems. State officials, including Sribharat, said the facility will not strain local water resources, generate excessive heat, or create few jobs. They added the centre is expected to catalyse a broader economic ecosystem in the region in the near future.
