Karnataka teachers can now prefix ‘Tr’ to their names on the lines of ‘Dr’ and ‘Prof’
Starting this month, the Karnataka government has authorized teachers to use the honorific prefix ‘Tr’ before their names, akin to titles such as ‘Dr’ or ‘Prof’. The move, announced by the state education department, aims to formally recognize the professional status of educators in schools and will appear on official documents, certificates and name plates.
