Revised SOP eases defence industry access to proof ranges, test facilities
The Indian defence ministry has revised its standard operating procedures to make it easier for defence firms to access proof ranges and other test facilities. Under the new rules, fees are waived for projects funded through iDEX, the Technology Development Fund and the Make in India programme, and dedicated quarterly slots are allocated for proof‑firing activities, aiming to speed up development and testing.
