Forces behind protests against Vande Mataram must be identified: Governor
Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arleka urged that the groups fueling recent protests over the song Vande Mataram be pinpointed. He called for scholarly research into the historical context in which Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay wrote the piece and the reasons Rabindranath Tagore later described it as the nation's anthem, so that young people can understand its legacy.
