Kerala’s State Road Transport Corporation has started a freight operation aimed at diversifying income beyond passenger fares. The inaugural shipment, weighing one tonne, consisted of mobile phones and was moved from the capital, Thiruvananthapuram, to Aluva on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
