
Cyber fraud victims face delays and little accountability from banks
A recent survey in India found that 13% of respondents had been targeted by cybercrime in the last two to three years, and more than half of those victims reported digital financial fraud. Although most contacted their banks within a day, many said banks were slow to block unauthorized transactions, offered limited assistance and were hesitant to assume liability, prompting concerns from victims and experts.
