A font recreated from photographs of classic Commodore 64 keycaps
Developers have reconstructed the original Commodore 64 typeface by photographing the computer’s vintage keycaps and digitizing the characters. The project involved capturing high‑resolution images of each key, cleaning the glyphs, and assembling them into a usable font file. The resulting typeface is released publicly, allowing enthusiasts to employ the classic C64 lettering in modern designs.
