Sexual abuse of boys: 62 POCSO cases recorded in Telangana in nine months
Telangana authorities recorded 62 cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act involving boys over the past nine months. Officials note that many incidents likely go unreported because families fear stigma and loss of prestige. Since the start of 2024, a total of 127 male children have been identified as victims in the state.
