L&T gets initial nod to build main part of 1,600 MW thermal power plant in Jharkhand
Engineering firm Larsen & Toubro has received preliminary approval to construct the core facilities of a 1,600‑megawatt coal‑fired power plant in Jharkhand. The plant is being undertaken by a joint venture between Damodar Valley Corporation and Coal India Ltd. The clearance covers civil and mechanical work for the main plant, marking a step forward in the project's development.
