Chief Minister Vijay has asserted that he owns a 50‑cent parcel of poromboke land in Kodaikanal, a claim challenged by an election petitioner who has approached the Madras High Court. Vijay also contended that the Neelangarai bungalow was not inherited but was purchased through a settlement deed executed by his father, S.A. Chandrasekhar, in 2005.
