Cabinet approves proposal to set up Integrated Transport and Logistics Authority

India's cabinet has approved the creation of an Integrated Transport and Logistics Authority. The new body will develop a comprehensive transport strategy that includes roads, railways, ports, civil aviation and urban mobility. It will also assess government infrastructure projects valued at 500 crore rupees or higher, aiming to streamline planning and execution across the sector.
