BJP’s Dinesh Arya files Rajya Sabha nomination; eyes regional, caste balance in Uttarakhand
The Bharatiya Janata Party has submitted a Rajya Sabha nomination for Dinesh Arya, a Scheduled Caste politician from Uttarakhand’s Kumaon region. Presently, the state’s three seats are occupied by representatives from the Garhwal area. Party officials say the strategic choice seeks to improve both regional and caste representation ahead of the upcoming 2025 state assembly polls.
