Karnataka hikes Asian Games medal cash awards; gold medallists to get ₹1 crore
Karnataka's government announced increased cash rewards for Asian Games medalists, granting gold winners ₹1 crore, silver ₹50 lakh and bronze ₹25 lakh. Additionally, each of the 20 state athletes who qualified and competed will receive a ₹5 lakh incentive, marking the first time such a benefit is provided. The state cabinet approved the scheme, which also covers participants even without medals.
