Police action against SFI: Pinarayi urges Mallikarjun Kharge to restrain Congress-led Keralam govt from ‘pandering to Sangh Parivar’
Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan asked Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge to curb the state government’s alleged appeasement of the Sangh Parivar after police used batons on Students’ Federation of India members. The students had been peacefully demonstrating against a full rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ outside a university building. Vijayan said there was no provocation for the police’s violent charge.
