Madurantakam, Dharapuram go to polls for second time in six months
Madurantakam and Dharapuram in Tamil Nadu are holding by‑elections for the second time in six months. Each constituency has over 200,000 registered voters—2.13 lakh in Madurantakam and 2.23 lakh in Dharapuram. The state government has declared a public holiday on Tuesday in both areas to allow voters to cast their ballots. The elections are part of the state's efforts to fill vacancies left by resignations.
