Yemen air campaign against Houthis under way, says Saudi-led coalition
Saudi Arabia’s coalition has launched an extensive air offensive against Yemen’s Houthi rebels, deploying roughly one hundred fighter aircraft. The coalition claims the campaign has established aerial security over the Bab al‑Mandab strait and has eliminated several hundred Houthi positions. Officials say the operation aims to weaken rebel capabilities and protect vital shipping routes in the region.
