Home-bound elderly care lays thrust on home-based comprehensive assessment
India’s health department has introduced a ‘Care of Homebound Elderly’ scheme within its Comprehensive Elderly Care Action Plan. The program aims to create a structured care pathway that begins with early identification of seniors confined to their homes, followed by comprehensive, home‑based assessments and coordinated services to address medical, social and overall specific functional needs.
