4.63 lakh fish fingerlings to be released in Palakkad reservoirs
Kerala's fisheries department will introduce 463,000 fish fingerlings into six reservoirs across Palakkad district, including Walayar, Kanjirapuzha, Mangalam, Pothundi, Chulliyar and Meenkara. The initiative aims to boost fish stocks and support local aquaculture, with the released fingerlings expected to enhance breeding opportunities and contribute to the region's livelihood and ecological balance. The release is scheduled for the upcoming monsoon season.
