Sheikh Hasina’s activities in India ‘principal challenge’ in planning Bangladesh PM’s visit: Humaiyun Kobir
Bangladesh’s state foreign minister Humayun Kobir said that Sheikh Hasina’s engagements in India pose the main obstacle to arranging the prime minister’s upcoming visit. He urged India to respect Bangladesh’s strategic autonomy and the difficulties faced by the newly elected government, adding that actions by exiled Awami League leaders would not benefit India’s interests in the region.
