
Keralam govt requests NGT to exempt it from creating ring-fenced account for liquid waste management
Kerala's government has petitioned the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to be relieved of the requirement to establish a dedicated, state‑level statewide ring‑fenced account for liquid waste management. The NGT's principal bench in New Delhi had previously ordered that funds earmarked as part of the environmental compensation for improper waste handling be deposited in such a centralized account.
