Financial aid to flood-hit people delayed as I won't let Akhil Gogoi take credit for it: Himanta
Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam in the northeastern state, said he would not allow Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi to claim credit for the delayed disbursement of financial aid to flood victims. Gogoi has been staging an indefinite sit‑in at the state assembly for three days, demanding prompt release of the relief funds.
