Two captive‑bred Great Indian Bustards were released into Rajasthan’s desert as part of a long‑term conservation program. Bhupender Yadav, a senior conservationist, described the event as a milestone after nearly a decade of work by scientists, researchers and field staff. The critically endangered birds were raised in captivity and are now re‑introduced to their native habitat.
