Keralam’s 100 MW Kasaragod solar park to have battery energy storage system

Kerala’s electricity board is adding a 50‑megawatt, 100‑megawatt‑hour battery energy storage system to the second phase of the 100‑megawatt Kasaragod solar park. The storage unit will join five other BESS projects the board is developing, aiming to capture the rapid growth in the state’s solar generation capacity and improve grid stability. The move supports KSEB’s plan to integrate energy storage and cut fossil use.
