Government raises deepwater gas price ceiling to $9.89/MMBtu; APM gas cap at $7
The Indian government announced that the price ceiling for deepwater, difficult-field gas will increase to $9.89 per MMBtu, covering production from the KG‑D6 block for the period October 2026 through March 2027. The price cap for APM‑produced gas from ONGC and OIL legacy fields remains unchanged at $7 per MMBtu. The change seeks to align prices with field costs.
