
Rajasthan government should prepare contingency plan to deal with ‘drought-like’ situation: Ashok Gehlot
Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot urged the state government to devise a contingency plan for an emerging drought-like condition. He warned that shortages of drinking water, animal fodder and rising unemployment could become serious issues in the next few months. Gehlot also called for a waiver of farm loan repayments to alleviate farmers’ distress.
