Amsterdam’s popular chip shop Fabel Friet, known for its viral social‑media fame, has become the focus of a legal dispute after nearby residents complained that the influx of visitors is causing congestion on the historic canal street, as well as increased litter, gulls and rats. The case is now being heard in court in the city.
