Keralam government to launch neighbourhood elder support network
The Kerala state government plans to create a neighbourhood elder support network that operates from the ward level upward. The scheme aims to provide a robust social safety net for senior citizens, linking local officials, community groups and volunteers to address health, mobility and isolation concerns. Implementation will begin after cabinet approval later this year.
