Late student Wakode's father denied permission to continue protest at Azad Maidan, plans IIT-B visit
The father of the deceased student, Wakode, was refused permission by authorities to maintain his protest at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan. He intends to travel to the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay to meet officials. The denial occurs as IIT Bombay students have escalated their demonstration over the death of fellow student Sahil, beginning a hunger strike on Oct. 2, 2026.
