Illegal gutkha unit busted in Asif Nagar, material worth ₹50 lakh seized
Police in Hyderabad’s Asif Nagar neighbourhood dismantled an illegal gutkha manufacturing operation on Tuesday, confiscating tobacco products, packaging material and equipment valued at approximately ₹50 lakh. The raid, part of a broader crackdown on unlicensed smokeless tobacco production, resulted in the arrest of several individuals suspected of violating the country's ban on gutkha. Authorities said the seizure will disrupt illicit supply chains.
