
CSIR-CCMB develops India-specific tool to predict Sickle Cell severity
India’s Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology has created a new scoring system designed to assess the severity of sickle cell anemia in Indian patients. The tool accounts for genetic and clinical differences that make existing global models less reliable, aiming to help physicians tailor treatment and manage the disease more effectively within the Indian population.
