Andhra dismisses 70 government doctors absent without leave for over a year; 193 more face action
Andhra Pradesh government has dismissed 70 doctors who were absent without leave for more than a year, and announced disciplinary action against 193 additional doctors. Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav aims to finish the process within three months and fill the resulting vacancies. So far, 78 doctors have returned after being permitted back with penalties.
