‘It’s very sad’: Spurs’ Wembanyama rules out sports betting endorsements
French center Victor Wembanyama, recently signed by the San Antonio Spurs, declined a lucrative sports‑betting endorsement after seeing other NBA players promote gambling firms. He said it was "very sad" that money now influences sponsorship choices and that he will only partner with brands that align with his values. The move signals a shift in athlete‑brand deals.
