No subsidised refill norm for non-eKYC LPG users comes into force
India's government has announced that households that cannot or choose not to complete biometric authentication for LPG refills will no longer receive subsidised refills. Instead, they will be offered only 5‑kg or 10‑kg cylinders at full market price. Those who do not respond to the new rule will be denied any refills. The change aims to curb misuse of subsidies and encourage digital compliance.
