Lightning claims life in Keralam; showers bring relief
A severe thunderstorm in Kerala resulted in several deaths as lightning struck homes and vehicles. The Indian Meteorological Department warned of intermittent showers and thunder for the next four days, linked to an upper‑air cyclonic circulation off north‑coastal Tamil Nadu. The rains are expected to bring relief to the affected areas. Local authorities have urged residents to stay indoors during the storm.
