
Supreme Court orders curbs on licence renewal, vehicle registration for motorists with unpaid traffic fines

The court cited roughly ₹49,194.05 crore in outstanding traffic fines nationwide. It urged increased use of technology for traffic enforcement and clarified that the blacklist would apply to all vehicles with unpaid dues.
