Keralam government to formulate draft Bill for setting up Tribal University in Wayanad
Kerala’s Department of Higher Education has begun preparing a concept note for a draft bill to establish a tribal university in Wayanad. The initiative fulfills a pledge made by the United Democratic Front in its 2026 state‑assembly election manifesto, aiming to expand higher‑education opportunities for tribal communities in the region. The proposal will be presented to the cabinet for approval later this year.
