Keralam to launch ‘Nirmala Puthuyuga Suchitwa Keralam’ to address waste management issues
Kerala's government has announced the 'Nirmala Puthuyuga Suchitwa Keralam' initiative, a program aimed at improving waste management across the state. The plan seeks to establish treatment facilities for municipal, industrial, biomedical and other waste streams, with the goal of achieving processing capacity by the end of 2031. Funding will come from state allocations and private partners, while awareness drives will promote source segregation.
