Three die in country-made firecracker explosion in Namakkal
Three people were killed when a locally manufactured firecracker detonated in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu. Firefighters spent several hours searching the site and recovered the bodies of Rajasekaran, his wife R. Sathya, aged 45, and a laborer identified as P. Malar, 42. The remains were taken to Namakkal Government Hospital for post‑mortem examination. Authorities have opened an inquiry into safety compliance regarding the manufacture of devices.
