Postgraduate medical students sitting idle a “national waste”: Kerala High Court
The Kerala High Court criticised the idle status of postgraduate medical students, calling it a national waste. It ordered the state government to determine whether to create 23 supernumerary senior resident posts for these students, who are bound by a compulsory medical service bond. The court stipulated that the residency period should commence from the date their examination results are announced.
