ECI appointments case: J. Datta asks petitioner to mention before CJI his plea to recall split verdict
Petitioner in the Election Commission appointments litigation has asked senior advocate J. Datta to inform the chief justice of his request that Justice Sharma’s opinion, which split the bench and sent the constitutional validity challenge of the 2023 CEC and ECI (Appointment, Conditions of Service and Term of Office) Act to a five‑judge panel, seek recall of that ruling.
