Trained canines to bolster crime detection in Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh has finished training a unit of 36 police dogs and their handlers over a ten‑month program. The dogs are being prepared to detect explosives, narcotics, human remains and to assist in search‑and‑rescue missions. Officials say the newly certified canine team will strengthen the state's crime‑fighting and emergency response capabilities. They will be deployed across rural and urban districts to support investigations.
