Kasimedu fishers to go on indefinite strike, ask govt. to retrieve captive boats in Andhra Pradesh
Fishers from Kasimedu village in Andhra Pradesh have called for an indefinite strike, demanding that the state government secure the release of 12 boats that were seized in April 2026 and have remained in custody for more than 100 days. A local leader has requested the state to seek central government intervention to recover the vessels.
